SALT.Optics has always been a company we admired, not only for their brilliant eyewear but for their spirit and connectivity to humankind. Their recent endeavor to end the water crisis in our lifetime has taken our admiration to the next level. The philanthropic organization charity: water, whose timeless mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to every person in the world along with SALT.Optics organized an interactive photography exhibit entitled SEESALT. The show creatively celebrated the four inspirational elements behind the brand: Sea, Air, Land, and Timelessness. The event, which took place on October 24 in New York City showcased original photography and video content from three visual artists Daniel Russo, Cole Barash and Meg Haywood Sullivan, who all took cues from the effortless beauty of nature. 1 out of 11 people in our world is drinking water that comes from a river, lake or muddy hole in the ground every day. Dirty, contaminated water that has leeches and debris in it. Water that causes disease, keeps kids out of school and takes hours to bring back home. The inspirational images used in the show from each photographer are being sold as exclusive editions (1/10) whose proceeds will go to support charity: water’s ongoing efforts. Please visit the SEESALT. NYC shop to purchase a print of your own. 100% of the money raised will be used to build clean water projects for people in Ethiopia, and when they’re complete, charity: water and SALT.Optics will post photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. DONATE HERE. We loved this quote on their website, “You can give a little or you can give a lot. The craziest thing we can do is nothing.” Bravo to SALT.Optics. Keep up the good work. During the month of November Black Optical will donate 10% of all SALT.Optics sales to charity: water. SHOP SALT.OPTICS NOW. |
